WHAT IS BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU?

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a grappling based martial art that emphasizes leverage, technique, and strategy over size and strength. One of the main benefits from the martial art is its effectiveness in self-defense situations, equipping practitioners with the capabilities to both defend themselves and neutralize their opponents.

What is AOJ Academy?

AOJ Academy was founded in the summer of 2012 by multiple time world champions Rafael & Gui Mendes and RVCA founder PM Tenore. The family friendly environment and clean, modern aesthetic of the academy made an instant impact not just on the local community, but on the entire Jiu Jitsu industry.

AOJ Academy quickly gained notoriety for its heavy emphasis on its Kids Program. The Art of Jiu Jitsu brand's mission is to positively impact the world through the martial art of Jiu Jitsu and AOJ Academy is vital to this goal.

AOJ Academy currently has two locations in Orange County, California that service thousands of local practitioners and visitors from all over the world on daily basis.
